***Note: this review was written the day after bootcamp but due to my computer dying, I'm just posting it now.  I still feel the same if not even more positive about the experience over a week out.  Summit was also the shit and helped to solidify what I learned on bootcamp.  Will try to get a Summit review out this week sometime.  Was awesome meeting everyone!  Seth***

It’s a lazy Sunday evening here in Vegas, and I’ve just enjoyed a lovely day of eating prime rib sandwich, vegging out by the TI pool, getting a new spiky hairdo, and resting/recovering/reflecting on the mindfuck that was the last 3 days.

A bit of background first. I’ve basically been a full retard at this pickup thing for years. In the past 2.5 years, I’ve taken an RSD bootcamp, watched Blueprint and Flawless Natural, and attended last year’s World Summit. Despite all this information, I never “got it” and never really progressed much. I can lay a portion of the blame on a difficult work schedule for the last few years, but ultimately the blame for my lack of progress was because I did not take consistent action to approach/stretch my comfort zone/etc. My failure to take action was because I had always considered picking up girls, talking to strangers, and socializing in a club to be scary, intimidating, and unpleasant tasks.

Enter Alex.

Alex has developed such an ingeniously simple way to explain natural game.
You are enough. Say it: I am enough.

It’s such a profoundly liberating idea. Everything you or I need to be successful at attracting women is already inside us. The trick is to get rid of the ego, social conditioning, bad habits, etc that keep our true selves bottled up.

How do you do this? The key is to be relaxed (aka free of anxiety).

How do you become relaxed? You expand your comfort zone, both in terms of successes and of embarrassments. This is done by accumulating social and emotional experiences, aka going out and talking to girls. If you have a wide comfort zone, you will be relaxed, comfortable, and able to express your true attractive personality most of the time. It is good to both pursue success but also to seek out embarrassment and social pressure by pushing boundaries, making offensive comments, etc. If you don’t push your comfort zone in both directions, you will just play to not lose rather than play to win.

On any given night, you can become more relaxed and expressive by enjoying yourself and hitting up some warmup sets.

Alex did and said several things that really facilitated this transition for me. They are as follows:
The club is a temple of relaxation. There is nowhere in the world that you have less repercussions on your actions. You can do or say basically anything within the bounds of legality with no problems.
The first 2 hours in the club do not matter. They are merely for enjoying yourself, fucking around, getting drinks, getting warmed up and being social.
Alex would deliberately send us in with lame ass openers early in the night for self amusement purposes as well as to get us used to “bad responses.” Some of mine: “Do I look like Howard Hughes?” “I’m a boss.” “What is the drinking age in France?” My first set on night 2 I was told to approach these girls and try to have as awkward an interaction as possible. My self expressed opener: “Hi, I’m here to annoy the living shit out of you.” :-D
Finally, Alex just effortlessly creates a vibe of positivity and fun around himself. I really don’t see how anyone could do this bootcamp and not have a great time.

In terms of technical game theory, Alex has 3 principles:

1. Create initiative (Do Shit): basically, just talk about whatever random shit pops into your head. Talk about things that you love or hate to express a wide range of emotions. This will create emotional arousal (aka attraction) in the girl.
2. It’s not what you do but what you deal with that makes you good: remain unreactive and unapologetic in the face of her tests. By beating tests in this way, you will amp up the attraction. Physical escalation (see #3) and verbal illogicality/faux pas/offensiveness will generate tests which you can then beat.
3. It doesn’t matter what moves you make, it just matters that you’re making moves. i.e. be physical. Start early in the interaction: handshake, inspect bracelet or other jewelry, grab her hand and lead her, neck kiss, hug, claw, etc. It is also important to add some pushing away physicality so you do not become too predictable. The difference between friendly and flirty is physicality.

So, that’s basically it. Once I was able to adopt the right mindset, it was fairly effortless to implement the technical principles.

As far as the actual bootcamp time infield, it was a tremendous success for me. I had a couple of nice sets the first night, especially a long set with a tall English blondie who was quite into me (EDIT: and is now stalking me on facebook). We (Alex, the other student, and myself) ended up pulling a group of girls for pancakes and then back to their hotel room. Alex then took one of the girls to go “gamble,” which is a euphemism for Alex trying to stick his dick in her mouth repeatedly. The other student and I didn’t close the deal because of logistical issues. Whatever.

The second night I built on my success with another few good sets where I amped up the physicality and persisted through more tests. I really internalized the lesson that physicality gets you the good results (and the girls love it too!). Sorry for the lack of detail, but it was really sort of a blur.

There was also a long video session which included many infield examples of Alex demonstrating the principles outlined above. Also included was Chodes Night Out 2 which was possibly the most awesome thing I’ve ever seen in my life.  Also, we had a daygame session which involved a lot of riding around in taxis and eating churros, interspersed with talking to a few girls in Borders books. Basically, daygame is extremely simple and straightforward. See Alex’s blog post about daygame, which is what he printed out for us.

Finally, the bootcamp wrapped up with a final debrief and specific gameplan for myself and the other student that was tailored to our sticking points. Alex told me that I just need more social and emotional experience to be consistently good at this. I fully agree, as I’m already inconsistently good.

Some final thoughts on Alex and the bootcamp: Alex was 100% dedicated to myself and the other student for the entire program. As I already said, he has condensed and simplified the inner mindset of a natural alpha male in terms that literally anyone can easily comprehend and internalize over the course of a weekend. If you can adopt that mentality, you are already 90% there. Going out and talking to girls becomes fun instead of a fear-inducing task. Now it’s just a matter of getting experience, expanding my comfort zone, and cementing my new reality. Fucking awesome.

Good stuff, I always like to read Alex bootcamp reviews, it reminds me of my own when I'm to lazy to get out my notes :D

Dude did you take any notes on the fauxpax topics? I kinda forgot about the examples Alex listed, would be cool to have some in mind and try them out next night out.

cheers sky

@Jim and Diesel: was awesome hanging with both of you all week!  I'll definitely pay you boys a visit in Oz at some point.

@Sky: I did write down a few, here's what I had in my notes: pheromones, G-strings, trust me, guidos, ovaries, chivalrous, beards, morning wood.  He probably said twice as many but very quickly.

lol, I was like WTF laughing when I translated ovaries hahah, dunno about talking about morning wood and ovaries, but yea they are arousing for sure, so ill try it out sometime :D Thanks man!

Stereotypes are pretty funny for me too or making fun of people. most people don't do it because it could come off bad socially but that's exactly why it's so funny. And I'm always coming from a place where I don't want to make other people feel bad about themselves.

I don't really get what "trust me" means though..

Hey guys I got some from Alex's presentation at the Summit. Might help:

G-strings
Brazillian anal
Old Spice
Sand in the vagina

But can someone tell me what's the purpose of the social faux pas? Alex explained it but my head's always in the air.

LOL, yeah I wouldn't even consider some of those faux pas at all.  I'm not really sure why beards and chivalrous are faux pas either.  I think Alex's point was that these are borderline socially unacceptable comments that will likely generate tests from the girl which you can then pass by being unreactive/unapolgetic and amplify her attraction.

I posted this in my Ozzie bootcamp thread but I think it applies here as well.  This is a 6 month progress report after my Ozzie bootcamp in July 2011 but it could just as easily be a 18 month progress report after my Alex bootcamp.
