New behaviour = scary.  Once you learn it, and have a bit of momentum, it's literally nothing -- harder NOT to approach a girl than it is to approach (you have to restrain yourself).

Thats so true.
I remember the first times I was cold approaching I my heart rate was jacked. 
After you realize that the person with the most anxiety and fear is you, you get over it.
Approaching is and should be natural.
