THE FORUMS

 I had considered doing a bootcamp for awhile and finally decided to sign up. I was called shortly after signing up and asked if I had any questions. I asked how I could best prepare for the seminar. I was told to go out a few nights a week and practice approaching. So in the eight weeks prior to the bootcamp I went out and had limited success, meaning i went from not being able to talk to women to having conversations with women that crashed and burned after three to five minutes.

 Time for the bootcamp finally arrived and I met Brad and Derek in the lobby of the Hilton. Brad was my insturctor and Derek was....well, not an instructor but knew everyone in RSD and sort of came a long for the ride just for fun. I was apparently the only student, which was great. We all sat in the lobby going over our brief histories. I'll admit at first I didn't care to much for Derek, even thought he was a bit of a vulgar douche. Little did I know my opinion of him would completely change by the end of the night.

 I was told the first thing we were going to work on that night was simply approaching. Brad started by talking about how what you say doesn't matter. We ran an exercise that involved him saying a word and myself starting a conversation using the word. Being able to keep a conversation flowing is a pretty important skill. Derek would interject with how it's important to know what it is you're after. Phone numbers are useless always go for the pull. If a woman is there she's atleast thinking of banging you. If she's not interested she'll leave.

 We went out and started at Cowboy Slims. As we walked in Brad grinned and said "this place is perfect." I looked back at Derek to see if he was following and when I looked back there was a hot chick pulling Brad into a game of flip cup. Derek came up and ask "what happened?" Laughing I said " I have know idea how he freaking did that." Brad ditched the girl came up and said "this weekend is about you, lets find some sets." After that it was one set after another. The first one was awkward put everything after that just seemed to flow. I talked about absolutely nothing and it was freaking awsome. The only time it seemed that the set ended was when I wanted to leave and do another. After every set it was high fives and great job. It was hard not to be pumped up. We jumped to the next venue and began the approaches all over again. I used conversational starters like "I hate wiener dogs and Apples are the best fruit." Converation topic really dont matter.

 I ended up in my first mixed set. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Once you have the girls attention the guys just sort of turn off. I'd get the occasional tips on my cell phone. Both approaches and conversations were coming easier. They'd go for twenty to thirty minutes easily.  I figured it was time to try physical escellation.  where i used.....THE HAND OF DOOM.

 I came back after the set and Derek say's "what the fuck is this?" showing me use the creepy lower back hovering hand of doom. "Eliminate it right now!" SO hand of doom gone. we did a few more approaches, i ran into a bunch of the girls I saw at Cowboy Slims and was greeted with hugs and "Hey Its you" eventually the lights came on and the club closed. We began walking the streets to find a place to eat.

 A two set came down the street and Brad said "stop them." I shouted "Oy" (i like it better than hey) and started the conversation. Derek began talking to one saying things like "we're gonna get married and I'm gonna put a baby in your stomach." I never thought shit like that would work but she was eating it up. Even her friend was rolling. they left and we were off the the Uptown Cafe where we ate and they debriefed me on the whole evening.

 Saturday, we met at noon and watched a few videos of Brad doing approaches. He broke down each of the approaches bit by bit. Then we talked about theory and what I was going to work on that night. Key points were no hand of doom, use the hand of glory and the neck grab, also leading. Leading creates a bit of a time warp effect. giving the girl you're with several reference points with you, it also gets her used to being led. Use more of a commanding voice, like when I was a SGT telling my troops what to do. I'm the prize.

 Later that night we headed out to The Loop. It looks like a shitty bar from the outside but once you get inside you find that it's a packed dance club and the approaches began. I had a few go great right away, decent physicality and leading was working well. I had an encounter with an ice queen that just couldn't be defused. THe night went on and I was crashing and burning a lot. It's difficult calibrating the physical escalation right. Brad did a demo and Derek explained what was happening and what was going to happen fifteen seconds before it actually did.

 The lights finally came on and everyone started filing out of the club. "One more," Brad said. "That hot blonde girl by the bar. Walk up to her and say 'You're cute, but what else you got." I looked at him "you're kidding right? that'll get me slapped." "Just go do it."he said. "Think SGT," Derek said. Off I went.

She jumped a bit when I said HEY. "Hey you're cute what else ya got?"
"What?"
"Your cute but what else you got?"
"What do you have?"
"No no no, we're not talking about me. what have you got?"
"I've got this." She stuck her but out and pushed it against my crotch.
"that's it?" I smacked her ass. "That girl over there has a nice ass too. So there's nothing that makes you unique?"
"like what? what do you want to know?"
What are you're three best qualities."

The conversation continued going great until the bouncer finally shoved us all out of the club. The girl brad was talking to wanted us to get into their cab and give us a ride to the hotel. We all got to the hotel and Derek brought the two girls inside. We talked for a bit and the girls sat on the couches. We made plans of when we would meet the next day. Derek said we still had to debrief the night so he'd just say goodnight to the two girls very gentleman-like. I looked at brad "he's never gentleman like. we have to watch this."

We sat down and watched the good-bye. things seemed like they were going very mellow and normal and then the blonde girl asked "where you from?" Derek replied with "from my mom and dad. they showed me a demo once." "really?"she asked "what was it like?" "Like this," he said and bent her over the ottoman and dry humped her. Blondies fat friend flipped and blondie told her to relax. it took a bit to mellow things down. Derek announced that he and I were going up to the room and we left. He broke down what he did. He explained that if he would've argued or responded in anyway then blondie would've sided with the fat friend. Up in the room we debriefed and talked about the night.

Sunday we met for lunch and talked about where I should go from here. The things I should do to continue to improve. Both brad and derek have different techniques but they both work. It was great to see both sides of the spectrum.

So what did I learn? Everyone reading this wants to know is it worth the money? the fact of the matter is that it IS worth every penny. If you want to see immediate improvement in your game go to a bootcamp. I've learned more in one weekend then I had in a shelfs worth of books. I went from not being able to approach a woman sober to talking to any of them no matter how hot they are. In the two weeks after the seminar I've talked to more women and gotten more numbers than i have in the last few years.

Here's what I learned.

I dont need the lines and techniques that are common in the community. My whole perspective was changed. I am in fact the prize. Derek posed the question "with all of your travels, the wars you've fought in, and the things you've done, who brings more to a relationship? you or the 22 year old blonde you met in the club?
I've learned to get rid of the hand of doom. Ask a girl what that is and they can all describe it AND the fuckin hate it.
It doesn't matter what I say
If she's standing there she's thinking about it.
Lead her
be dominate
use the hand of glory and neck grab
Go for the pull, it's easier to get a day two if she slept with you day one
three nights a week to maintain skill. atleast four to improve.
