THE FORUMS
just read your post bro, i do have a question tho... on being authenitc to yourself; at what point does your authenticity actually hurt you instead of help you? for example lets say you decide to be brutally honest with yourself and this is what you say, "dam i have shitty social skills, i'm fat and bald, and yah if i'm drunk enough i might even suck a dick" (i'm just making up random shit here). this prolly isn't goin to help your self esteem too much (or will it?) yes yes, the ego is bad we all know that, but it does serve a purpose. if you remove that purpose could you possibly get into some trouble here?
also one thing you didn't mention, or maybe i just didn't read into it, is that once you are brutally honest with yourself, do you need to be brutally honest with others as well?

Self esteem is partly from living up to your own standards, but to my understanding it is also drawn from your core value, something you can NEVER lose. Fat will come and go, as will skills, is that what you really value in this world?
This post is golden guys watch out for crasy nights beleive me. ....

Damn... so easy to build out an ego on that one... While that's the only thing that can happen to prevent all the good stuff from happening.

Therefore, surrender your self-interest.Love others as much as you love yourself. Then you can be entrusted with all things under heaven.
