so how is this happening? I'm currently looking for a job and this sending resumes thing just sucks for me. It sounds cool to get offered new job through your connections and networking skills which i must develop. Any insights?

Yeah these days sending resumes is as effective as buying girls drinks to get laid...........Networking is the key. Going out to events, conferences or just going out in everyday life and meeting people.

My sister sent out like a 1000 resumes and after a year of that shit she found a job through a recomendation her physiotherapist made to a friend.

It doesn't do you any good to fax your resume to a company. When hiring a person, companies want to put a face to the paper. I don't really like the term networking because it just sounds too technical and hip. Use your personality to get the job, or at least get yourself on the company's radar. Just be professional, and friendly (without being a kiss-ass) to everyone that is a part of the company.

This is definitely a very basic framework and there are plenty of other good advice other people can probably offer too, but always make sure you use common sense.

Good Luck

Yeah, had another unsuccessful job interview yesterday. An answer from Papa & Tyler would be awesome.
