I've tried creating various profiles, each with their own characteristics. One being more heavy on trying to make her qualify....another being more humourous....another one being plain and regular with likes, dislikes, interests etc...

I've probably initiated contact with nearly 200...and to be honest, only about 5 of them replied once....and only 1 became an actual contact that lasted a very short time.

Then I go on to a regular chat site and girls wanna chat left, right and centre.

I don't get the deal here. Does other guys here have the same problem with plenty of fish? A lot of girls seem to BE on it, but there never seems to be any replies. What's going on here?

Either that or I'm just missing something obvious....I mean, it's not even like there is SLIGHT interest....it's all either ignoring me or deleting me. I don't get it

No it doesn't, don't even give it a try. It's a waste of time that could be used in a better way.

From my experience with dating sites, they honestly aren't worth it.  You can make an amazing dating profile that will give you contact with hundreds of girls.  BUT there is a reason those girls use dating sites.  Usually they're crazy, depressed, needy, or extremely broken hearted.

I'd 90% of them are.

It's way better and way more fun to go in field.

Intereresting. I've had some success on match dot com, but not so much on Plenty of Fish. I like match because you can "wink" at girls, basically hit a button to show interest without writing an e-mail. To my knowledge on PoF you have to write an e-mail.

IMO it's a numbers game. My strategy on match is to wink at 50 girls a day (the max), out of which I get maybe 10 replies. I ask for their numbers after 1 e-mail exchange, usually get about 5, and can get 1 or 2 dates of these 5. We are not talking the hottest girls here, but not ugs either. At minimum it's more experience, at best a !-close.

I think online dating sites have their place, just don't let them eat into your non-virtual social life. MW's advice is good...don't give up...it's a pretty minimal investment of time and can result in a few lays.

LOL@ the guys saying it doesn't work.  POF has a lot of hogs but it also has some gems.  If you know what you're doing you can have mad success.

If you are struggling, send me a PM.

I've been doing the online thing exclusively for years and once you get good at it, you can easily get attractive girls off these sites with a high rate of success. POF isn't as good as myyearbook and okcupid
