I see so much on here recently about "Hey I passed a shit test" and "I won against an AMOG!" and other things posters want a bunch of dudes on the internet to validate for them... well here's a huge realization I had:

Do it on purpose

Everytime you escalate, do it on purpose
Everytime you walk up to a girl, do it on purpose
Every text and call you make, do it on purpose
Every step you take, do it on purpose
Everything you wear, do it on purpose
Every gesture you make, do it on purpose
Every expression you show, do it on purpose
Every word you say, do it on purpose
Every word you hear, do it on purpose

Every step you take, every muscle you move, every word you type, every bite of food you take, every time you work out, every time you smile... EVERYTHING

There's no quicker way to get off of autopilot, and develop an incredibly strong presence

Still not convinced? Think of the most charismatic natural-type you know. Observe him through the frame of "Does it seem like he's doing everything on purpose?" and get back to me

Wow, fucking gold gunner. I know that's what made me KILLER in highschool.. I think it wasn't because I was a 'pimp,' matter of fact I was a smart dude, but I was so smart, and so coninced I was right, I had certain rituals I would follow becase they made the msot sense=it was conscious repetition of certain habits, to consciosuly express my values into the physical form. Everything on purpose, and I would talk to people about it because I was PASSIONATEABOUT IT-boom suck in, I was cool with others but in a sense I was a lone wolf; someone with unique life experiences, the present tiger, knowing his own experience; full-trust in the only world/reality he has ever known--his.

G-O-L-D

Tonight I was out with a bunch of people at a birthday party who were NOT on purpose.....everyone.    So there really wasn't a lot of connection.   The best way to be on purpose is to choose a reference group that is.    It makes it a lot easier.   Auto-pilot living leads to being surrounded by that....and it's SO much harder to be in purpose that way.

Finally a good post man, I like it.

Lol are my posts that bad? Or are you talking about the forum in general? Either way, I wouldn't personally be happy with my posts if they were universally accepted- too much "blah" for me.

Anyway this is kind of what I figured out about a lot of as I mentioned presence and core confidence stuff, as something that gets overlooked in confident people, but when you think about everything they do, it seems like they do it on purpose. It was also largely inspired (although I just now realized this) by the "Atlas Shrugged" chapter on Francisco D'Anconia where they did the background and story development on him. That was the impression I got on about the 3rd time through that chapter of his success mentality- that he did everything on purpose and for a purpose. Even if you don't feel like reading the rest of the book, next time you're in a bookstore pick it up, grab a coffee, and read page 89 (part I chapter 5)  to about 116.

Some examples from that:

"Two things were impossible to him: to stand still or to move aimlessly."

"'let's find out' was the motive he gave Dagny and Eddie for anything he undertook, or 'Let's make it.' These where his only forms of enjoyment."

"I don't know what sort of motto the d'Anconias have on their family crest" Mrs. Taggart said once, "but I'm sure Francisco will change it to 'what for?' " It was the first question he asked about any activity proposed to him- and nothing would make him act, until he found a valid answer."

"The d'Anconia heirs had been men of unusal ability, but none of them could match what Francisco d'Anconia promise to become. It was as if the centuries had sifted the family's qualities through a find mesh, had discarded the irrelevant, the inconsequential, the weak, and had let nothing through except pure talent; as if chance, for once, had achieved an entity devoid of the accidental.

"Francisco could do anything he undertook, he could do it better than anyone else, and he did it without effort. There was no boasting in his manner or consciousness, no thought of comparison. His attitude was not: "I can do this better than you," but simply: "I can do it." What he meant by doing was doing superlatively."
