Believing in western religion’s god is just a way to avoid death. Sack up and accept that you were born from nothingness and die to nothingness.
Cool story, bro.

Really though, going from one fictional story to yet another fictional story (one that is worse in some ways, in the implied negativity of it) serves no purpose.  I myself say to hell with stories.  When we die, we die.  Who the fuck CARES what happens after that, just life your life fully as you can and be the person you want to be, living up to your OWN standards.

What has this to do with pickup?

I don't know (how should I?), but I'm almost 100% sure there is nothing like that. Hi social conditioning (If everyone believes it, it must be true)
Because God is the ultimate pickup artist.  He is every character in robert greene's book art of seduction.  The siren, the Dandy, the Rake, the Ideal Lover, the Natural, the Coquette, the Charmer, the Charismatic and the star.  he also practices all the laws of power and strategies of war. There are too many to list so im just going to explain the seductive characters as God.

the Siren uses her appearance like a mirage. and sings a beautiful song to make us crash our ships cause we are so distracted. God distracts us with mirages daily.

the Rake, he is a slave to all women and lures us in with a alluring mix of danger and pleasure.

The Ideal Lover thrives on people's broken dreams which become lifelong fantasies.  He is an artist in creating the illusion you require, idealizing your portrait.

As for the Dandy: God is more fluid, more ambiguous, than we are — he creates his own persona. Dandies excite us because they cannot be categorized, and hint at a freedom we want for ourselves. They play with masculinity and femininity; they create their own physical image, which is always startling; they are mysterious and elusive. They also appeal to the narcissism of each sex: to a woman they are psychologically female, to a man they are male. Dandies fascinate and seduce in large numbers. God has and uses weapons of mass seduction I just can't find them!

The natural is complicated but still I believe God is a natural.

As for the coquette: The ability to delay satisfaction is the ultimate art of seduction — while waiting, the victim is held in thrall. Coquettes are the grand masters of this game, orchestrating a back-and-forth movement between hope and frustration. They bait with the promise of reward — the hope of physical pleasure, happiness, fame by association, power — which, however, proves elusive; yet this only makes their targets pursue them the more. Coquettes seem totally self-sufficient: they do not need you, they seem to say, and their narcissism proves devilishly attractive. You want to conquer them but they hold the cards God is the master at this one always seeming distant.

The Charmer: Charm is seduction without sex. Charmers are consummate manipulators, masking their cleverness by creating a mood of pleasure and comfort. Their method is simple: they deflect attention from themselves and focus it on their target. They understand your spirit, feel your pain, adapt to your moods. In the presence of a Charmer you feel better about yourself. Charmers do not argue or fight, complain or pester — what could be more seductive? By drawing you in with their indulgence they make you dependent on them, and their power grows. Learn to cast the Charmer's spell by aiming at people's primary weaknesses: vanity and self-esteem.
Do I even have to explain this one. God can't have "sex" with us but he can seduce us.

The Charasmatic:
Charisma is a presence that excites us. It comes from an inner quality — self-confidence, sexual energy, sense of purpose, contentment — that most people lack and want. This quality radiates outward, permeating the gestures of Charismatics, making them seem extraordinary and superior, and making us imagine there is more to them than meets the eye: they are gods, saints, stars. Charismatics can learn to heighten their charisma with a piercing gaze, fiery oratory, an air of mystery. They can seduce on a grand scale. Learn to create the charismatic illusion by radiating intensity while remaining detached.

the Star: Daily life is harsh, and most of us constantly seek escape from it in fantasies and dreams. Stars feed on this weakness; standing out from others through a distinctive and appealing style, they make us want to watch them. At the same time, they are vague and ethereal, keeping their distance, and letting us imagine more than is there. Their dreamlike quality works on our unconscious; we are not even aware how much we imitate them. Learn to become an object of fascination by projecting the glittering but elusive presence of the Star.

I don't get it I listened to the whole thing.  Are you saying what i'm saying is like the preacher talking about skateboarding?
No, your whole shpiel about god being the the ultimate pickup artist made me laugh and reminded me of a couple segments of this dude's hilarious act.  One of which was the  "god fucks little boys" joke, the other of which is how the beginning of the bible is like the nerdiest mental masturbation D&D shit EVER.  That might be in part 3.

No, I don't believe in God. I don't mind people that do, but I only date girls who are atheists.

Heh, the poll doesn't have my view on it :)

I'm agnostic about it, but i'm more in to the atheist side, cuz i don't believe in the gods of religion..
Like, i don't believe in a conscious being called 'god'.
If you want to call the sum of all energy in the universe god then ok.. but it's not a conscious one.

And then, even if there is a conscious god, i'm pretty sure we're very small [like, to the point of almost not being relevant] in the big picture [if he made something, he made the whole universe, not this world only]

And about the hindu [?] idea of god playing a game with form... it's almost the same as being religious except for the commandments.. you can never know.
I like the play with form idea, though i don't really believe it/don't take it too seriously [i don't like believing in stuff which i got no reason to belive in. I used to do it, and then i asked myself why, and didn't like the answers :)   ].

The only solution I see is to stop caring if there is a HIM God i don't know. For now I have settled down with Tolles teaching because that makes me feel great. And I can't see how the western terms of god can make me feel the same.
