"Ain’t No Good Life, But It’s My Life" –Willie Nelson

SERIES PRELUDE:
I originally wrote this in response to an old Tyler blog post before I started professionally coaching. Mainly for myself because I found as time went on I tended to forget more and more. More than once people had told me I should write a book about my life and things I’d done and seen, so I contributed in order to work on my writing as well. These next 6 articles or so will be meant to be read in whole, so keep reading.

These articles basically say a lot about me and how I’ve lived my life. They should display how "being good with women" is more of a byproduct of who you are than what you do. I think you realize the old days of guys in this industry hoping to seduce a girl and drag her down to your World of Warcraft dungeon basement are over.

Anyway, many people have found inspiration (and challenged the possibility of all this) and asked me to elaborate and write more. So I’ve made some updates and will write about what’s gone on since I originally wrote this article. Many have said it's just as mind-blowing. Funny, I just see it as how I've chosen to live compounded over the years. Live and learn. I’ve included some pictures I’ve found in a shoe box and scanned, but understand I just bought my first digital camera maybe only a few years ago (and still not really a big photo guy).

 Nathan and Willie Nelson
2001: Me and Willie on stage for the Annual 4th of July Picnic. Luckenbach, Texas
A true poet, original Outlaw, and inspiration in my life

By the way, so you understand, when I originally wrote this I was at another crossroad in my life and about to make a choice whether to continue with RSD and this industry or help start another business with my brother-in-law back in Texas. At the time I’d learned just about all I could from "the community" and was about to move on and leave it forever. Not much longer, two days before I was moving, I got the call to become a full instructor. And the New Natural Game as we know it today was ushered in. A year later the Blueprint was released.

PART 1: MY LIFE
… Thank you for writing a biography about my life... goodbye investment banking... goodbye search and rescue... goodbye 3 countries... goodbye MTV & Jerry Bruckheimer... I'm working with RSD and UCLA now... solely passionately and intrinsically motivated... Sometimes I miss the money, but I had to figure out the hard way that the way I was doing it wasn't worth it. Internally it was like slowly dying when I wasn't doing what I knew I needed to do. You have to follow your path.

I look back now at all my many life experiences, hard and good, as awesome social and cultural experiences that I LEARNED from. Trust me, some lessons really hurt. But, they all gave me depth and wisdom beyond belief. I feel I can relate to anybody on almost any level because I've been there in one way or another. From hanging and fighting in the streets of Baltimore, to corn husking in the fields of Iowa, to picking my neighbor’s grape harvest in Italy, to riding camels in the sands of Oman, to red carpet events and the social elite of Hollywood. They’ve all expanded my reality to the point where nothing surprises or intimidates me. I’ve made all this my reality.

Here’s just a few other crazy things that’s possible in reality: I’m also a decorated war veteran, been recognized on national TV, was adopted Chinese (I’m white), dated Playboy, Hawaiian Tropic, and Budweiser models, have been kidnapped, worked for the US Embassy in Central America actively fighting Colombian drug traffickers, modeled, was a top ranked wrestler, helped write porn scripts for a friend in Budapest, started businesses, saved a man's life, am an expert pistol shot, cliff dove in 2 countries, managed over $300 million dollars, played stickball in Brooklyn, hang glided over Brazilian rain forest, written my own TV show, graduated from a #1 ranked program in the world, hiked mountains, ATTACKED BY A GANG OF WILD MONKEYS, lived on a boat for 3 years, partied for Carnival in Rio, Venice, and New Orleans, been arrested and put in jail (a couple times--I was found innocent), traveled to over 30 countries (lived in 4), am fluent in renaissance art, broken too many bones to remember, speak parts of 5 languages, was actually kicked out of a country once and made to fly home (again, innocent), was almost a father and engaged, ran a black market, had sex in 2000 year old plazas where saints were once burned on a stake, thoroughly well read in classical and contemporary literature, met, partied and am friends with famous Spanish bullfighters, been questioned by the CIA, taught at 2 renowned university, stowed away on a train once out of desperation, camped in complete wilderness, traveled to East Germany while under Soviet Union’s control (it was as crazy and depressing as the movies portray it), ran with the bulls in Pamplona, been part of a pit crew in the Mexican Baja 500 twice, been courted by the Russian Mafia (long story), won ski races in the Alps, promoted parties, and also kicked the tree of life. I just turned 30 and have been completely independent since I was 18. Funny thing is, is that I need my friends to really remember some of the crazy shit that’s gone on.       Nathan1998: Life saving days, U.S. Navy
2001(?): Someone actually took a picture as the first monkey started attacking me in Gibraltar

I guess the only thing left is to own a monkey, be in a heist, and get shot. Seriously, these are my goals for the next 5-20 years... climb a mountain, write a couple books, start a philanthropic organization, motorcycle around S. America, go on safari, visit the North Pole (before it's gone), buy a home in Europe and in the great state of Texas, get married and have kids, and finally put an end to the mystery and hunt down the Loch Ness monster. Anything’s possible when you’re living your own legend. What's yours?

That said, file this under an experience I wouldn't trade ANYTHING for--college. I don't think it's necessary for everyone to go, but for people who don't know who they are or what they're doing--then GO. When you don't know who you are or what you want, experiencing new cultures is one of the best ways to find out... that's what college is and why it was so awesome for me. Make sure, so you make all the memorized-learning tests bearable, study things that piques your intellectual curiosity!

Nathan,

All this and more is the reason why it truely has been a pleasure to learn from you.  No one could really ever accuse you of being 'shallow' ... becuase you've been through everything.

At the rate my life is going, my story 10-15 years from now will be somewhat similar, but I'm sure yours will always top mine.

This was a very interesting read, thanks for sharing.

OMFG Nathan, I bet the guy whose life you saved felt so lucky........ cuz he got saved by the prettiest rescue diver EVER. No, but seriously bro, you look SO different in that pic... I freak out when I see what people looked like when they were younger.

What is even more amazing is... wow dude... the variety and amount of experiences you've had man, that is CRAZY DUDE! Now I know what you mean when you said you experienced many things. Makes me feel like I need to STEP IT UP, like the world is LEGITIMATELY much more interesting than I thought. I'm not fully independent from my parents still, but I'm getting some things going - going to New York with a buddy soon for a week (def. going to approach girls over there to see how it is haha!), planning a ghost hunt trip for a weekend with four of my friends that I've known since 1st grade, and also planning a trip with those same guys to Universal Studios. Should be fun. I've been around the world with my parents, but I haven't managed to be fully independent... it's coming soon though! This inspires me to really do more man - great post and keep 'em coming!... and by them I mean the posts ;)

I think your post is awesome Nathan, but no offense, I'm here for techniques or inner game posts, not to read bios. I think your LTR posts were awesome. Sure, there are people here that only live in their room and don't get out of the house, and therefore need to know what "having a life is about", but for the people who already have a good life and are here just for the girls, it's not very useful.... So I can't post constructive comments about something that doesn't have the content to be commented about.

This is completely far from most people's reality...
That is barely believable... If someone made a movie about your stories it would be like cheesy James Bond like film... hehehehe.
You have to be born in a awesome family to do the things you did.
If that is needed to get hot girls, i'm surely fuc*ed.

You seem like the realest of all the instructors. A lot of the instructors I met actually give off a weird vibe (surprisingly). You seem like you'd be different.

Looks like I missed something....  Thanks for the replies. One of the jobs being an instructor is to inspire, motivate, and teach men on dating.... most guys aren't just to bang the ladies, but to self actualize themselves in their fullest glory.  For me, being with awesome girls is a byproduct of how I live my life. This is as 'natural' as it comes. Natural game just another technique. I think guys would start having leaps of success if they stopped 'hitting sets', or rather, making 'getting good with women' their #1 priority in life and started seeing this more as an endeavor that compliments their life

Getupa: It doesn't take all this to be good with women, but the fact that I see life as an adventure, including women, is something that drew women to me and still does because people want to be around cool interesting people. 'Nuff said

Your life is awesome and draw girls to you, that is a fact...
But I'm more interested in knowing how much is NEEDED to be good with girls. If you say to me that being James Bond is REQUIRED then it would be different.

Wow, after being in Berlin and hearing all about it's history, it's crazy to me how you lived a good part of it.

I never saw a gay pride party near Brandenburg, but I wouldn't doubt it. Germany is known to be one of the most liberal-minded countries in the world, and my experience there has reflected that. If I live in Europe eventually Berlin's definitely high on the list of cities I'd consider.

yeah, I understand. It's not much of an article. I mean, it's great and exciting, and yeah you're writing a book, that's cool. But should it really be an article? It doesn't really help me much. I mean, put it on your page. sell the book. It's just like, whoah, okay, this didn't help me, that's why people are getting annoyed by it.

And for you guys that feel bad, why are you guys comparing yourselves to him?

lol you guys really should do your research before you hate on this, and read the rest of it. THAT was the inspiring part, the helpful part. The list is good, interesting for sure, but your mindset behind it, which clearly most people are missing and could help them, is the best part by far.

Good post, but one thing is missing.

Just because you've seen many different things, been to many countries, and lived the life of James Bond, does not mean that girls will magically fall on your dick (i.e., being 'good' with women is not an immediate 'byproduct' of having a great life).  I think the point of this article is to show people how to gain reference experiences that they can draw from to feel 'confident'; it is to show that you need something to 'align' yourself to before you can achieve 'state'.  This is good inner game tactic, because you approach women with that kind of rare confidence, with an epic frame that makes these sassy chardonnay drinking divas look like girl scouts; you come from a grand place that makes women look 'small' in scope.

However, there must be 'intent' to use these things to 'impress'--scare quotes surround this because 'expression' seems to be the buzzord these days...this is a different kind of 'impression', not a chodey monkey entertainer type--the women.  In other words, these things must ultimately serve the purpose of fucking girls, if that is what you want to do, and of course, this is most appropriate for such a company as RSD which is essentially a company that helps men date women.  Only then can successful pick-up be a 'natural byproduct of a great life'.  Hell, I know many men with great lives and they do not 'score' as much as some Pick-up artists, who are complete douchebags compared to these guys.

What the hell.

This article is all about confidence and certainty of self. Being more certain of what your about than anyone else is.

Put yourself in enough crazy wierd situations on purpose and you find out very quickly exactly what you are about and that you can adapt to whatever life throws at you and thrive.

If you cant see how that relates to what gets you laid you are a dumb dumb poobrain. All the tactics and tips in the world dont mean shit if you havnt got them rooted in that.

purpose is a word to describe that you don't put women as the center of your life.  you aint puttin em on a fuckin pedestal. which is what 90% of dudes do.  noone is attracted to people like that.  you gotta realize you got your own things goin for yourself and some broad aint gonna affect your already amazing life.

this is attraction.

its universal and works both ways.  cept for mens attraction to women has more emphasis on looks.

Oh, and a tip: If you just grow some balls and approach in real life, you will have this kind of minset in a matter of, what, five minutes after the approach?

My point being, old RSD was, you get the balls, and we give you material you can apply after you have the balls.
These kind of articles are "let's grow you some artificial balls and also give you the material".
So, the problem isn't the article, it's the people. People that already have balls are pissed because they don't learn anything.
But I have balls and I will embrace them, mind you.
I think youll get in in the next couple parts to come

Hey Nathan... Cool garbanzo beans... As a kid my family went on several excursions in Europe. At one point I had a few pieces of the wall myself and an East German officer's combination cover but didn't appreciate the significance. I've since lost them all :( Crazy times though. That's really cool to hear your story!

I couldn't say I have you're breath of experiences.  Wow that's really an impressive paragraph!  Although I couldn't help but agree with the college bit.  It was extraordinary.  Not so much in giving me monetary opportunities (I feel it's quite the opposite if you don't keep your mind open) but in opening up a whole new social world.  I couldn't even imagine what life would be like had I not gone to college, ran around, partied like an un-inhibited neanderthal, and narrowly escaped death / law enforcement / etc. haha it was insanely awesome.

I stopped reading your post on the "read the rest of it" part. When a person is presenting information, he's the one who has to clarify it and make it acessible. It's not us, the readers, that have to search for it.

EDIT: Oh, and the "do your research before you hate". Right. Because if someone is offering me a product that is flawed, I'm the one who should do the research to find the good in it. It's not the person giving me the product that has to know the good things about the product and present them. Makes total sense.

Do you know when you meet a girl you have two minutes to hook, generally? In an article you have five lines.

I wasn't hooked.

Funny because i stopped reading at "whaaa life is hard hold my hand and do everything for me!"

Interesting that the people who can most benefit from articles like this, are those too cynical to see the value in them.

hopefully you see someday that I am not trying to argue, merely trying to tell you what I really wished and needed someone to tell me back when I was like your tone seems to indicate. Anway that's post 999 so im done with this discussion... good luck mate

Hymen--check the dates on those pics... That was me in the hat from my first article.  I'm now 32 and I wrote this 2-3 years ago before I ever became an instructor (good looking? well, when I was younger I did model, but now I consider myself the Tom Arnold of Pick up---since shoulder surgery I've put on over 20 lbs...)

TomTom--Actually dude, I have no plans sheduled to be in Denver any time soon... See you at the Summit fo sho!

For the rest, take this for what it is. It's your choice to what you give meaning to. When I wrote this, I actually had a grudge against the community and hated it because there were so many people who were lame that said they were 'gurus' leading guys around and causing a harm (ie. it WAS the blind leading the blind).  I made the decision then to just lead based on me. No false bravado. Just me leading by example.  Well this article is just part of who I am.  Yes, you can change your identity any time (I've always been a huge fan of 'The Count of Monte Christo'), but never disregard your past. People's past make up a large part of who you are today.  Accept and love whoever you are today and were yesterday. You just have to if you want to be a complete person.

When people live in reaction, no self actualized, they usually react to their past and either change thier circumstance or keep on living the lifestyle they actually dont want to live.
