Hopefully, this is the first of many articles to come to you from yours truly….
Today, we'll be discussing daygame and its foundations. I decided to cut this daygame articles into a three part series. I plan to have each point in each article effectively installed in your craniums. Each article will be posted in a span of a few weeks thus, giving you enough time to apply all information accurately and efficiently. In this series, I found these daygame techniques to be the foundations for successful cold approaching.
Let's get to it.
1) Openers
First of the all, the way you open is unimportant during daygame. This is the least important part of the entire interaction. Don’t get hung up on your opener but saying that, opening strong is a good measure to keep you in the game. Open to be heard and not ignored. Don’t go overboard but be loud enough to be noticed by the girl. Break into her reality. It’s not what you say but how you say it. Furthermore, I noticed huge tendencies for a lot of guys to use CANNED openers. Personally, I’m against canned openers but for a newbie, it’s a good training wheel to get to the next step for a while.
What I recommend for newbies at first, is to become somewhat comfortable with canned openers but once you're past the comfort zone with it, move on to AUTHETNIC openers. You always want to to push yourself closer to your best self while shortening the learning curve to become more congruent to your natural personality. What you should be striving for is congruence from “OPEN” to “CLOSE”. The reason why a lot of guys get blown out from their openers is mainly due from lack of authenticity or situational events put infront of them that are out of their hands. Trust in yourself. Use the opener that’s most congruent to your thoughts and feelings IN THAT MOMENT.
Genuine expression + presence + right action (approaching) = higher chances of success
2) Approach
Guys have a common failure during the approach and it’s the faulty approach itself. They approach in a highly WEAK matter. It’s normal and it will happen to the best of us but you should try to stray away from that habit. You should be approaching directly too. Let’s cut to the point. She knows why you’re approaching her so there’s no point in beating around the bush. She’s not stupid. In contrast, if you’re using indirect openers, make sure the girl understands, at lease somewhere during the interaction, that you’re there to pick her up. Give her the chance to reject or accept you on the basis of you showing real intent and not the latter. So, next time you're going in on a girl, ask yourself, "Why am I approaching this hot creature?"
WHY?!
When you’re approaching a girl, physically put yourself infront of her. Most guys just approach at the back-side of the girl in hopes she’ll throw them a bone. Never expect a handout from a girl for a half-attempt and never accept mediocre behaviour. Go all in or nothing. I’m writing this to you to practise the right action. So, next time there’s a girl, physically put yourself infront of her and introduce yourself. Respect yourself, you're good enough to be treated like a man.
You should be facing her and your physiology should be in check. Try not to micromanage yourself in the interaction when you do this. Look at what you did right and wrong after the interaction is done.
Good physiology
Standing up straight
Chest out
Feet shoulder-width a part
Eyes focused (eye contact)
Hands not in the pockets (clinging on the pockets is acceptable and isn’t a major deal breaker).
Shoulders relaxed
Slight lean back posture
Have a bit of distance between you and the girl when you’re opening her. When the distant is too close, she’ll most likely become startled or just simply, walking away. When the distant is too far, she’ll either just continue walking away because she thinks you’re not serious or they simply ignore because it's not convenient for her. It's too much work to walk back for a stranger most of the time. When those situations happen, try going back in and do a proper approach. Next time, lessen the time of reaction and take the right action before you get to that point.
Ideally, try to open the girl from about 5 to 10 feet approximately because it’s not too far for her to feel awkwardly uncomfortable and not too close for her to feel attacked. We’re looking for the sweet spot which is in-between 5 to 10 feet approximately.
While we’re on this topic, I like to include a small bit about running… yes… RUNNING. You should only be running to a girl when it’s necessary to catch up to her. From my experience, it only freaks girls out when they catch you running up to them from behind. This only makes things more difficult because it brings up their guard. Don’t make things more difficult than they have to be. Run when it’s crucial, not when it’s convenient. Run to close the distance between the two of you and for the future, speed walking is a good alternative.
