The paradoxes of the game...
What a FUCKING head trip!!!
So, one of the themes that I've started noticing among some of the more recent YouTube comments, has been:
"one minute they say: it's better to be urself and be congruent, then next minute they say: force yourself to change. I understand a lot of it, but I wish they'd explain the contradictions in more detail"
"who cares about the girl, it's about yourself (ie. game)." ...however on a previously video you have said "in the end it's about getting the girl, stop focusing on Gaaame"
"I only use hard scientific facts to help my game, not wishy washy theory"
Basically,
"Why are there so many PARADOXES and CONTRADICTIONS in the game?"
Well, let me start off by saying that if you're someone who's actually going out and who's actually trying out all of the different concept and theories from the ridiculous amount of free content that we've been putting out, then there aren't going to be any paradoxes or contradictions, at all.
IT WILL ACTUALLY ALL START MAKING SENSE. :]
A lot of pickup is actually very "common sense" as long as you're going out and applying what you've learned.
It shouldn't be THAT confusing.
But the thing is, without the actual FIELD EXPERIENCE of you going out and applying what you've learned, it's close to impossible to FULLY "GET" all the content that's being put out there.
Your brain won't be able to grasp all of the complexities.
Going out is basically the only key to deciphering all of the theory that's being put out.
Without it, you're fucked.
You can get a general idea of what game looks like through speculation, but it's never going to be at that same level of understanding.
You have to go out in order to resolve these so called paradoxes or contradictions.
Secondly, what's important to realize is that PICKUP IS AN ART, NOT A SCIENCE.
You're not dealing with numbers or statistics here, you're dealing with actual human beings.
You're dealing with the unknown.
And there are just too many variables to come at this in a very "logical" way.
Game is not about being logical, in case you haven't noticed... ;]
Trying to breakdown your success with women in a scientific way is like trying to measure the human soul using mathematics.
It's impossible.
It's just not going to happen, and you have to start accepting that.
Everything about game can be explained in an infinite amount of different ways and in every single type of interaction there are an infinite amount of "right" things to do.
It's never either or...
It's hot and it's cold.
It's black and it's white. (Ha!)
Start accepting the paradoxes and start viewing all of these concepts, not as ultimate truths, but as tools to help you with your craft.

I love all talk about this, And julien seems to be the one that talks the most about it, and because his game is sometimes very ballsy he is the best instructor to talk about this.

Probably the best location shot of the year.
The point about contradictions is bang on IME. I've gone out 4 - 7 nights a week since day one of finding this stuff, and always wanted more ideas.
I never felt confused because I was out so much regardless. It was just more stimulation for my brain -- fully coming from a HOBBYISTS perspective, never like I "wasn't enough" and needed to learn the next "secret trick".
OTOH I could see how people simply lack the motivation to go out often, and would prefer something they find simpler and more dogmatic. Depends on the individual.

Funny how we had this conversation about how what invigorates me was the outdoors.
Seems like in a way, things have gone full circle.
You've had some sick outdoor adventures and i've experienced more in game.
As fucked up as you are to the world, your lifestyle shift is one of the most inspiring stories I've ever seen.

when i first got into the game, i figured it was all about the methodology and that
by learning all the different "styles" or whatever that i would become some sort of master
and i was very confused by the contradictions
(like some saying don't go to the club vs going to the club, not saying too much or speaking
too fast vs million dollarmouthpiece, keeping an approach short before going for # vs talking
for 45 minutes, showing interest vs acting like you don't like them, etc, etc, on and on)
now i pretty much see that its all common sense but you kinda have to "know what to do"
when it comes to the technical stuff (which comes from experience), like not asking a girl
a technical question , a kind of obvious mistake...
very hard way to think for a mechanical minded, black and white thinking aspie like myself
lol , with no intuition or ability to read situations..this game is better suited to the
emotionally intelligent

I really like your energy, man.
Funny thing you mentioned schizophrenia. Its through the paranoid chemicaly imbalanced I've realized that certain things in my life were missing. Ive got two step brothers who's daddy was a paranoid schizophrenic who like to get cranked up on meth and get nuts.
I pride myself on that level if 'mania' I can dial in for being moderately sane. A big drawback to it is that sometimes I feel like a monkey with fire. Not particularly safe at times.
What are some ways I can really ground my energy or cement myself back in reality?
