<>==========================================<>

On that note, what I'm excited to finally be able to take the time and share with you today is one of the most important realizations that you're ever going to have to make in order to achieve any kind of success in this area of your life, at all!

And funny enough, it's of course one of the hardest realizations to make as well...

NOT TO TRUST IN YOUR FACULTIES.

Let me explain all of this into further depth...

The main realization that you're ever going to have to make in order to make that DEEP IDENTIY LEVEL CHANGE that we so advocate here on RSDNATION for yourself, is realizing that your current perception of reality is ultimately FLAWED.

It's WRONG!

The way that you are currently perceiving everything that's around you isn't in a way that is as beneficial to you as it should be and all of your current emotions and instincts that are associated to that are wrong.

Do not trust them, at all!

SO, WHAT DO I MEAN BY ALL OF THIS?

If you're someone who's already taken a Bootcamp with me or with any of the other Real Social Dynamics instructors then I'm sure that you're already aware of the "number one rule" that we impose all throughout the program, which is:

"Do whatever your instructor tells you to do, no matter what."

This is the one of the most important and crucial frames that we set from the very start of it all.

And I remember back when I was in Berlin a few months ago, one of the clients that I had at the time had told me that he would only agree to do whatever he felt comfortable doing.

If it wasn't something that he felt comfortable doing, then he wasn't going to do it.

And when you think of it, this is something that actually makes perfect sense...

Why would someone ever want to do something that they don't feel comfortable doing?

Well what you have to realize is that, at the time, his perception of reality was FLAWED.

And this is something that you HAVE TO DO in order to make that DEEP IDENTITY LEVEL CHANGE for yourself.

There's no other way around it!

Let me ask you this:

"How do you expect to break out of your current comfort zone if you're only willing to do whatever you feel comfortable doing?"

"How do you expect expanding your current reality if you don't do anything that's outside of your current reality?"

You can't!

In order to break out of your current comfort zone and expand your current view of reality, you're going to have to go against all of your current emotions and instincts that are doing to tell you not to do so.

They are put in place to keep you exactly where you are right now.

And you're going to have to go against all of them in order to make that DEEP IDENTITY LEVEL CHANGE for yourself and achieve success in this area of your life.

What's important to realize is that all of your current "faculties" are associated with the current identity that you've taken on and that you're working on breaking away from.

They are not yet associated with the new one that you're working on taking on for yourself.

And if you start trusting them by only doing what you feel comfortable doing, then you're ultimately never going to be able to break out of it, at all.

You're going to have to start breaking into the unknown of that new identity that you're working on taking on for yourself by going against all of your current emotions and instincts that are telling you not to do so.

You're going to have to start venturing into new situations that you know are going to help you regardless of what all of your emotions and instincts are telling you.

You have to realize that your current perception of reality is flawed and that you're ultimately going to have to break out of it by going against it!

As a side note, this is also one of the main reasons why so many people have such a hard time making any change in their life whatsoever.

Most people are slaves to their emotions...

Most people will only do things that will make them feel positive emotions, even though they might know that those things are ultimately not helping them, at all.

Why do so many people smoke or do drugs, for example?

Break out of it!

SO, HOW DOES ALL OF THIS APPLY TO YOU ON A PRACTICAL LEVEL?

I'm sure that you've probably already noticed that whenever you're approaching and interacting with women in general, your assumptions towards the beginning of the night tend to be more negative and your assumptions towards the end of the night tend to be more positive...

Your assumptions towards the beginning of the night tend to be negative and all of your emotions and instincts are then telling you not to approach.

And as long as you've been taking right action, your assumptions towards the end of the night tend to be positive and all of your emotions and instincts are then telling you to approach.

As a side note, this is why we advocate such things a building Social Momentum as well.

It's the process that you undertake throughout the night in order to break out of your current perception of reality that tends to go against what you're working on achieving and settle into a new one that is more beneficial to you.

CLICK ON THIS VIDEO RIGHT NOW THAT I RECORDED IN SYDNEY AND THAT BREAKS DOWN THIS TOPIC INTO FURTHER DEPTH BY REVEALING A INTERESTING LITTLE INCIDENT THAT RECENTLY HAPPENED TO ME WHILE I WAS IN AUSTRALIA:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhY8RsUXLIA

Make the realization that the way that you're currently viewing everything that's around you is FLAWED.

It isn't as beneficial to you as it should be.

And make the realization that all of your current emotions and instincts that are associated with it are designed to keep you there in place!

"If you keep on doing what you've always done, you'll keep on getting what you've always got."

Break into the unknown and make that DEEP IDENTITY LEVEL CHANGE into that new reality that is beneficial to you as of TODAY!

Another fresh take on stuff! You are good with language.

If you have gone through the process enough times, you will know for sure that the outcome will be the desired one and you will be able to trust the process!

Awesome article Julien.

I took this Hot Seat 2 event that you did in Sydney most recently. It was intense, thank you for that! There I realized that my perception of reality is defenetely FLAWED.

I asked you that question on the Free tour, "how do you pull girls in Moscow?". Because I'm from Moscow and I know that not that many girls there speak English. As a I recall You said: "IT doesn't matter, it's all coming from THE VIBE! " Then you referred to THE VIBE many times on the Hot Seat which seemed to be somewhat really important. And this is what I would want you to cover in your next video. How you create it and what it means to you personally in your game. And also it would be really interesting to know how you cope with language barrier, because you are very well-travelled person and it seems like you don't give a fuck about such problems.

I look forward to your new content every week, man. Phenomenal work. It says on the Hot Seat page that it'll be Nick doing the Canadian events, but it seems that you're doing them (hopefully). Do you  have a definitive answer on that? I've just signed up for the Aug 25th event in Vancouver, so I hope I see you there!

Cheers.

Right, have now watched the video - well the way you describe feeling in that queue in Oz is how I feel most times I go to any bar in my own town (London) where I have lived for all my life! (and I am 36 now - all my 20s gone and most of my 30s too - yay!)

In fact, there is only 1 club/bar I like to go now, I go once a week with the same friend or two and although I have tried doing it not drinking it's fucking boring and hard if you don't. So I do. And only when I am pretty damn drunk do I have the balls to maybe beckon over a 5/6 and maybe talk to her a bit before I feel too drunk to say anything else.

It's awesome!

So yes, I am sure you are correct that my perception of reality is flawed but then again, if you were a girl would you pick me as your first choice? I sure as fuck wouldn't!

Still, at least I enjoy watching the RSD videos, they are always top quality.

This is a really short and sweet video. Just bringin it back to the fundamentals...TRUST IN THE PROCESS. But yea it is really inspiring to know that people like you and Tyler still have those thoughts and feelings on a night of going out solo. You are only human. Everyone has to deal with it. Once you just start approaching, pushing your comfort zone, taking those risks, you can't HELP but get into a flow where everything clicks. Simple, as it should be. Thanks for the reminder Julien keep doing what your doing man you are helping a lot of people.
Cheers

PS. I would like to see video(s) on how to amp vocal projection in loud environments. Often times if a bar or club is too loud and I approach, the girl will be attracted just because I approach with confidence and am taking that action, but because she can't hear what I'm saying, the attraction fizzles out quickly. how to fix this?

This is confusing. How can you assume that everything is going to be okay in the end if you don't trust in your own faculties? I thought the whole point in trusting in your own faculties was that you don't know how something will end up, but you trust that something within you will help overcome the obstacles.

That's funny how you get more culture shocked in english speaking countries. It's probably b/c you're white.

I think it would be sweet if you did an article/vblog about negative experiences and negative emotions being part of the journey.

good approach to Perception.
I remember my bootcamp with alex I was looking for only one thing :perception shift

at the end, his version of reality didn't sink in ( I'm enough) , or other versions:
"you get good when you don't need the girl"
"assume you will get laid"

I like brad verion, " Game is just reference experiences"
I admit going out isthe only solution to get them, trying to do new stuff , even when I'm shaking in my body
and I wait for a horrible result which usually never comes

I love to be pushed, mentally and physically, that's how I grow .Recently,  you have pushed my perception of reality  more than other RSD guys, thank you.

yeah, great article and video.
this insight is one of the bottom lines in the learning process. the brain has different imprints and it doesnt show you them until you force them out. you have to have the faith - or you are fucked.
even though I know that, it's fucking me over again and again.
Thats why the "going to the venue" is "90%".

yeah, this is so true. it's kind of funny though, even that i have countless reference experiences for social momentum building, the negative emotions are still there at the beginning of every night...
my best take on it is to open the first set before entering the club or immediately after entering.

why did you go out solo? is there no local RSD crew in Perth?

When i think back at the times when i did break out of my comfort zone i got very exited and happy and it fulfills my day.

While i am  traveling with public transport or just riding my bike i always see the hotest girls floating by.
Most of the times i don't take right action and i become stuck in a negative thought loop when i don't aproach.

And often when it gets to annoying and heavy inside my head i just aproach to just prove that my negative thought where wrong. It actually turned out amazing cause after aproaching those negetaive thought where gone cause they where incorrect. I actually begin to start loving to prove my brains thoughts that they are wrong.

I believe meditation helps alot with this, and gets you in a nice flow during a random day.

Do you  actually meditate Julian ?

What i would like to see in a upcoming acticle/video is how do you deal with day 2's? When i approach somtimes me or the girl doesn't have enough time to chat (she or me needs to get off the bus at the next stop for example)

What i think about now is that i just need to call her when i have the time to do it and just make a long phone call so she gets to know me the same day i met her. (despite it can cost a high phone bill :D)

Thanks for the content and realization, keep up the good work

I can't even express my gratitude because it'll be over the top and weird but this whole week's front page just fucking owns. Thanks for spending time thinking about this, shooting the video.

I'm pretty sure I can do this. Just one or two more pushes through the fear and I'll pass the point of no return.

Thanks for the instruction, I think it'll help me out a lot. I hope to take a bootcamp with you guys as an intermediate or better someday.

Oh yeah that did sound weird the way I phrased it, edited for clarity.

Also, it's really cool to find out how you guys can get stuck in your heads and shit too and how you break out of it. I think I understand now how taking action changes how you feel. It was a hard concept to grasp at first but now that I've felt it it makes total sense.

 Hey man, great article!

I don't usually comment but something here really hit home with me:

"How do you expect to break out of your current comfort zone if you're only willing to do whatever you feel comfortable doing?"

"How do you expect expanding your current reality if you don't do anything that's outside of your current reality?"

I've been stuck on a plateau for a while now and I think this is the key. As my reality has expanded I'm no longer doing things that are outside of it.

Thinking back I remember how scared I used to be when I went out, I don't feel that anymore.

I need to feel the fear again, by pushing further :)

This is an extremly interesting point.  The way I'm interpreting this do not trust in your faculties idea is to totally trust in acting as someone unlike yoursel (i.e. RSD teachings for pick up) f, forcing yourself to act in the way you want to be and eventually, you will become that person and it will all work out, if you trust in the process of acclimitization. Your current faculties are currently wrong for becoming the person that you want to be and holding yourself in place in your current self and the only way to change is to force yourself to act as someone else. I never really thought of this.  Am I picking up, what you're putting down Julien?

Talk about how everything descends from the caveman. Man with highest reproduction value or survivial until reproduction and how your body basically works like a suicide bomb. If you're having sex then keep doing what your doing, even if that good feeling isn't coming from social validation(becoming the top dog and getting fucked because you have the most value) or sex, but instead is coming from drugs, alchohol, video games(getting to the next level being better than others which in caveman times got you laid being best hunter = validated = alpha dog in the socially constructed reality). How fear of death also roots into stepping outside of the societial box because you might be outcasted for doing things not approved by society being awkward, touching a girl without being invited, whipping it out in public. Also how negativity, cop outs, cognative dissanance put distance inbetween things not acceptable by the social standards you learn (whether the standard is to conform or rebel) and your ego which is the defense of and validation you hold in the identity you are currently in which if done better than everyone else you would become the alpha and reproduce.
