Hurray, I made it to an RSD video. By the way, I never said doing the Gangnam Style was retarded, Gangnam Style is probably the best thing ever invented. Ooop ooop. On that bootcamp I wanted to game hot chicks in London and we spend a third of it, the entire first day, in a shitty club with no hot chicks and the rest of it doing the Gangnam Style to old ladies on the street. I wanted more that's all. You should have fun regardless, I get that and I do have fun, I just don't want to pay for it. Peace

Great Video. I like the part with lowering you bar for what is fun. Many guys don't get this because they feel like they lower their standards. The like to spend time only in best clubs with best music and etc. and that's fine we ultimately should pursue progress. At the same time this attitude make them outcome dependent. They are really dependent from external sources how the will feel, while the definition of guy good with women is the one who can CREATE party everywhere And who is curious and happy like a child.

Awesome shit julien. The part about lowering the level of stimulus you get addicted to was definitely insightful.

However, I'd just like to link this book here because Im not sure everyone knows exactly HOW to go about doing what you're advocating and it helped me out a shit ton.

Agreed on the lowering the standards and bar insight, such good information. If your trying to go the intellectual route this usually just ends up being around certain people and you can sabatage potential lays by being to uppity.

that's an interesting point... with lowering your criteria for having fun.
I've noticed that I keep myself pretty self amused recently. As I'm naturally a pretty critical thinker I tend to have a mean face expression. I always make sure that I smile a lot when I'm in the field. First of all when you smile a lot, it set certain chemicals in your brain that give you a positive vibe. Basically, when you smile a lot you are getting happy. The other thing is, that your environment is reacting more positively towards you. People are out to having fun. So, when you are fun they even start to approach you, cheer with you, party with you. It's easier to approach a girl when you had good eye contact with her and smiled at her.

I've read a book a while ago, it's called "No More Mr. Nice Guy!" from Robert A. Glover. He's a paarship psychiatrist and in his book he talks about the self destructive traits from so called nice guys. One trait that is pretty common for this archetype is hiding your flaws with intellectualism. Guys who don't get laid often try to compensate with intellectualism. That's the reason why these guys are so serious. Gangnam style is stupid, but who cares? Girls just wanna have fun...

Although usually most of the videos that I watch from you are applicable, this one I consider one of the "nice in theory, impossible in practice" type. I personally use some really heavy artillery to become optimistic in the first place, and then 'SOME' good reframing happens naturally as a consequence.

Were you unsatisfied enough to ask for a refund? If you did, I'd be really interested in the outcome. Haven't really looked for it, but I have never heard of someone demanding and getting a bootcamp refund. I have not heard of anyone demanding and not getting one, either. I figure there must be some people, with the amount of students and all. I don't suspect there's any banhammering of unsatisfied customers involved, because I am a brainwashed disciple believing in RSD's goodness. Maybe not Papa's though, the guy's too business-savvy wink

I myself am a satisfied alumnus, and am planning on increasing the client retention rate, but I'd be really interested in that.

@Julien: Great video! You're speaking style is really improving, it's very noticeable in the 2013 videos. The content is better, and there's more humour. the delivery is a little off sometimes, there were A LOT points where I thought "This is really funny", but didn't lough, and neither did the audience. I can't really pinpoint why, I'm not an expert. Maybe some well placed pauses? With your current speed of improvement, the issue will probably disappear in a month or two :)
Another thing: Tune down the "like" a little.

Still, your videos are my favorites after Tyler.

Gonna hit the Cambodian beach bars now with the lessons of this video in mind!

I have quite a big database of all 4 exercises described in the article (I mean I keep a record of what I write each day) and in the last 2 years I have done those (which are very effective indeed) and many other ... there are also many other things you can do every day to become more positive. The conjuction of all those practices made consistently is what I mean when I wrote "heavy artillery".
Don't want to brag but at this point I think I know much more about the topic than whoever wrote that article :P

At the end of day 1, Alex and Julien suggested that I should leave the bootcamp and ask for a refund, so that's what I did. I got a full refund.
