LOL! Matt from the video Julien is referring to here ;-) Setting with my shirt off at computer. Cheers for the Video, Julien.

Pretty funny, I posted the topic initially just "Julien's Eye Contact Exercise", "Check out this video, pretty interesting huh?" But got no replies so I sauced it up with a headline Internet Marketing style lolololol.

Well I might as well share the results of the field test here.

- Girls stopped in their tracks
- I felt extremely present, and the presence deepened as I put more energy into my visual focus
- One girl came randomly up to me out of the blue and made out to me (I kinda freaked, thinking WTF is this a joke? Is this a dude?)
- Another girl launched on me as well for makeout
- I got almost zero "complete ignore blowouts". They paused to look in my eyes as if thinking "hmm... what's this about???"

The best thing about amping up the intensity IMO was the presence that it creates in me, rather than the direct effect it has on the girl.

Hahahah awesome!

I was over by PCH in a past vid as well but got dif shots.

Matt_C is a cool dude but that's a HILARIOUS imitation.  I personally like being imitated so........

The San Diego Free Tour vids were also outstanding in the way they covered new angles and areas.  Great creative inspiration on the vid about pushing your comfort zone.

I think in the future a GREAT addition to the Hot Seat would be us amping eachother up to push the envelope - "You're quite the beast..." etc.

The "What Am I Working On In My Game NOW?" video is the most motivating video from Julien i've seen so far!
  -"Pick up conditioning". :-D
-"Whatever affects you deeply emotionally, good or bad, is what changes who you are". ... Nice.
-"The fun of trying something new". -"If it stops being fun, stop doing it". Carl Luis.

The Khakis is a great one also, we see Julien growing a soul. ;-)
-"Get used going to ground zero and actually enjoying it".
-"If you ever feel any attachment to anything external, cut it off"!
The Khakis vblog makes you realize what are you afraid of.

For video number 3, I have a question.

Since I was young, I always was sooo fkn attached to my looks.

Recently, I spent around 6 months, not even lookin at myself in the mirror, to lose that attachement, and it worked, I internalized it doesn't matter.

But this attachement thing got me to a period I felt I was losing myself. I got back to work and now I feel I'm not the marketer business person I found comfort in. It makes me unstifled yet unmotivated and unfocused to what I'm doing.

Isn't a strong sense of self "who you are", based on having a unique style, set of values, goals, whatever? Isn't related to actually being on a path, rather than just losing everything everytime?

Edit: To understand my contradiction; my work experience is based on knowing what to do and how to do it, it is a routine + self-improvement. Whether pick up, ime, is based on letting go and enjoying the moment. My brain is actually addicted to the chaotic let go, I feel being the regular "me", is not always enough to be attractive. How do you separate this from that? It's like I have 2 personas now.

I don't wana get back to being attached to the silly stuff, but I also don't wana live in chaos all my life.

It will settle, don't worry, it will take time. Just meditate on it and think about it as you go along your daily routines and the answer will present itself in time. Something similar happened to me.

How do guys who don't do cold approach pickup in nightclubs, or even day game, develop attractive personalities?

I going to complain a little here... The third clip, "core confidence" implies that you don't need any warmup sets!? You are slipping further and further away from your audience, I think. Try working as a computer programmer, where you spend 8 hours per day sitting in front of a computer, not talking to anyone. It doesn't matter how confident you are, you still need to warm up your social muscles.

Awesome as always! Especially the third video, detaching yourself to your "cussions".

About the warmup-sets, sure, it might be hard for som people in a certain line of work to get rid of having to do them entirely. OTOH, the longer you are in this, the fewer warmup-sets you need (in general) to get into state. There certainly is something to that..
