This entry is in response to my previous blog entry. "Finally Figured Out Whas Been Buggin Me"
Well... I went out solo on Friday to a totally new venue and had an extremely awesome night. Was a club atmosphere with a hip hop crowd. I'm a white guy with red hair but I love hip hop so this was definitely my kind of crowd in a lotta ways.
made friends with bouncers, bathroom attendant, the owner, the bartender and the DJ throughout the night.
Set 1 was a 2 set sitting at a table. Walked right up, "hey, just wanted to meet u." Definitely hooked the target hard but the friend didn't look like she was having a great time to begin with. I engaged her as well but they said they were leaving soon. Then they got up to "explore" the club. The target asked me to wait there so she could find me but I told her she'd have to look harder kuz I wasn't going to just sit there waiting. never saw them again. Next time perhaps ill just go with them and act like I'm the sexy tour guide or some shit.
Next was a hired gun who worked at the bar dancing in a cage. dont remember too much about what I said but 1 thing was "you can come dance in a cage at my house anytime." Totally stupid and not funny, but I think the sexual implications serve their purpose and make it somewhat effective anyway. talked to her on and off throughout the night and ended up number closing. I wasnt gonna try to make out with her kuz she was working and i wasn't gonna wait around to try and pull kuz she wasnt getting off til 5 in the morning.
Next I approached a 2 set at the bar. Sat right next to the target and jus started talking. sry im missing a lot of details about specifically what I said but I was decently drunk at this point. She was an older black girl from Harlem about 29 or so out with a friend. I found out later she was only out with her friend to support her kuz her friend was a promoter for the club. Had a great interaction with a lot of laughing and joking. Could have showed more intent and had more kino but we both (actually all 3 of us) knew it was on. Got her number right before she said they had to leave.
Then i explored the dance floor for awhile. Ended up being grinded half to death by a fat ass which emerged out of nowhere for an entire song. I moved through making lots of eye contact. any girls that gave me a weird or mean look I just high fived them and said "nice dress" or "nice moves." They all turned their scowls into smiles & I quickly moved on. I think this helped me keep a good vibe going. One hottie with short hair was grinding on some Roman looking pole in the middle of the dance floor. I walked up to her and said "wow, that is 1 lucky pole!" She laughed, "oh this 1! yea it is! haha". I said "dance with me." We danced all of about 30 seconds and then she got shy. She jumped into the arms of some enormous guy who looked like he must have been a good friend for protection. I laughed, put my arms around BOTH of them, leaned in and said, "hey guys, have a great night." They said "you too." and I ejected. Looking back i feel like I could have pushed this 1 a little more, any suggestions?
Finally, I made eye contact with a girl sitting across the bar. Straight lazer beamed myself over there and opened with "hey, i just wanted to meet you." Got her laughing and showed some intent. I remember saying something she didn't like at one point and laughing to myself as she turned her back on me. It's funny to me how much easier it is to read a lot of social interactions nowadays. anyway i won her over again with a compliment and spun her around to face me. This was another 30 yr old black woman from Harlem. She impressed me as a working woman who likes to have fun and has already achieved her Master's degree. Her skin was fucking INCREDIBLE! so silky smooth, like the softest thing I ever felt. I lead her to the dance floor and we went at it for a few songs. Not a whole ton of grinding but when we did get very close I felt her very sexy slim body. When she backed off I let it happen and we danced apart for awhile. I could have pulled her back in immediately of course but I was thinking non-reactiveness here and I still think it was the right move. Then her friend seemed to get in an altercation and she went to her aid. I said I admire how she was being a good friend. Then I told her it was great to meet her and I wanted to get her # incase I didn't see her again. She gave it to me and I started thinking about leaving. Then I saw her on the way out and told her I wanted a kiss. She told me no saying "i just met you." I talked her into giving me one on the cheek and asked when was a good time to call because I definitely would.
Since then I have talked to all 3 of them over the phone and I will post anything significant that happens right here.
Some thoughts:
I've heard that kiss closing at a bar can be a negative because when you go for the day 2 she just thinks of you as another "bar hookup." I think there is some truth to that. I was happy with the 3 # closes from the night mainly because I made sure to lay a strong foundation with all 3 girls that "hey, this is no joke, im gonna call you because I want to keep talking to you." I also feel there never really was a moment when I could have just started kissing any of these girls. kinda hard to isolate among other things.
I feel much better. Abundance mentality and fearlessness came back to me just by getting back out there ONE time.
Id like to try going out without drinking a few times. I had a blast but being hungover totally killed my entire next day and I cant afford to lose that kind of time.
I like the idea of going out solo now. It's much easier to stay in "The Now" and keep Approaching because you simply HAVE to find someone to talk to. There's potential for a lotta growth there. And if i get used to sarging on my own then when I have a wing it will just be that much easier.
Question For you More Advanced Dudes:
Is farming #s in a club a waste of time? Should I just be trying to pull and nothing else? I'm guessing that I should be aiming for the pull and if i end up falling short then settling for #s or maybe makeout would be the way to go... any input would be awesome.
