Good day, Jeffy here coming at you with the second installment in this little series promoting the new book. Which, if you for some reason haven't heard, is coming out TOMORROW, MARCH 29th 2011.
www.getlaidordie.com
"Get Laid or Die Trying" is, of course, being released to our loyal supporters with a special bonus package containing both a one hour audio and special video seminar which we are calling "JEFFY SHOW 2." Here's a little preview clip to get you going:
One comment that I think stands out in this clip is when I say I have systematically made myself as stupid as possible over the last ten years. I can see how this might be confusing to some people. Why would anyone actually endeavor to reduce their intelligence?
Living in San Francisco, I get a lot of guys on Bootcamp who are involved with the IT industry up here: software engineers, etc. Now, these guys are very logical. In fact, in many cases it is that very logic which draws them to the game.
They read about these theories and so forth and think, "Wow... game! I can just learn these abstract rules which govern human interaction, and then I can protect myself... I will never have to feel bad again!" Like it's some cute little sudoku puzzle or some shit.
Of course, as soon as they go in to the field, armed with their newfound knowledge and theories, they basically get fisted up the ass and are left scratching their heads saying, "What went wrong? I applied the theory but it did not work!"
Sooner or later, in order to have success these guys must arrive at the realization that this game is not about logic, but rather EMOTIONS.
Man is a logical creature, but we do our best work when we revert to an almost child-like state, a state that the author Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi referred to as "flow." Imagine two tennis players, volleying closely to the net. The ball is moving so quickly that their brains are not LOGICALLY able to process it, yet they are somehow managing to place shots. Or a cat stalking a bird... it isn't thinking about trajectory and so forth, it's simply acting on INSTINCT.
This is the state we want to achieve in the field when approaching women.
Think about it. In the club, while most guys are scheming and plotting their moves, what are the girls doing? They are partying and dancing. Their thought process looks something like this:
"YAY... FRIEND... DRINK... LADY GAGA... FRIEND... DANCE... HOT GUY OMG... DRINK... YAYYYYYYYY"
Yes, this is my highly misogynistic representation of the female thought process in the club.
Funny thing is, when I told my ex gf about this, her response was, "Wait a minute Jeff.. isn't that what YOU are thinking in the club?"
I had to laugh because it was true. My crew is composed almost entirely of retards and sex addicts. There's not a whole lot of "thinking" going on per se. It's more like, "YAYYY... BEAST... DRINK... BOOBS... RUNNING MAN DANCE... FLICK MULLET... BOOBS... DRINK OMG... FRIDAY, FRIDAY DURRRRRRR YAAAAYYYY"
Csikszentmihalyi called this the flow state, we call it the DURR state.
This may be why I gravitate towards absurdly moronic things. For example, here's my criteria for the music I like: the more violently angry i get the first time I hear a song, the more I will inevitably like it down the road.
Take the recent viral internet phenomenon of Rebecca Black and her song "Friday," perhaps the most idiotic song in history. The first time I watched the video, I was so angry that I had to turn it off 57 seconds in. I was drawn back to it for some odd reason, however, and now a week later... IT'S MY JAM. I'm requesting it at the club and shit. Why? Because I realized it's a song about my mullety life in the beastmode crew with the van:
"Business in the front seat, party in the back seat
gotta make my mind up which seat can I take?
PARTYIN PARTYING (yeah)
PARTYIN PARTYING (yeah)
FUN FUN FUN FUN"
Literally, this is what is going on in my head at the club.
Now, this may not be as feasible for someone just starting out in the game and I understand that. Starting out, you need to learn the nuts and bolts "mechanics" of the game, and that requires a certain amount of attention. When you are almost ten years deep like I am however, those logistical rules are basically embedded in the firmware and the knowledge of them becomes unconscious.
Regardless however, newbies would do well to attempt to limit the internal dialogue while out beasting as much as possible. I find that most of the learning takes place from emotional feedback anyway... you make the same damn mistake so many times that you just become PISSED OFF and STOP DOING IT. Emotional leverage at its finest... I see this almost every week on bootcamp. We're pushing the student hard, but ultimately it is his own frustration that causes the breakthrough. We are just there to point out the mistake.
Ultimately it is the man who is willing to put himself on the cross and self-reflect that is going to be successful. BUT, realize that analysis is for AFTER the field, not during.
Or should I say DURRRRRing. lol
Anyway, today is the LAST day to get the low twelve dollar price on the Get Laid or Die Trying book on Amazon, which of course comes bundled with Jeffy Show 2 and the hourlong audio.
Actually, we recorded the audio yesterday and it is fuckin AWESOME, better in fact than the Jshow 2 in my humble opinion, because it was fresh after a bootcamp, and several weeks had elapsed where I've just been on an EPIC tear that is making the other guys in the crew look like droopy-eyed armless children.
Who knew the old man still had it in him?
DADDY'S HOME BAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Anyway, you can pick up your copy of the book and the bonus pack here:

Jez, Amazon don't fuck around, I only ordered a couple of days ago and it was here yesterday! and bear in mind I live in Dubai!
Fair old book Jeffy, 351 pages; no way I'll finish reading it before I go out, so plan B's a new form cave-manning where I club the chick over the head with the book and drag her off -- at 351 fun packed pages and thicker than the phone directory I'm figuring 'Plan B' might just cover me until I get the whole thing read. Speaking of which, I've got some serious reading to do...

Can't remember a book that entertained me this much. Sorry to laugh at your misfortunes Jeffy old boy, but I've been caughing up a lung so far -- quality, pure quality!
Love the format too, just flows.
[Totally freaked out about the R.J. weasel stuff; read the same shit like 10/11 years ago! ...then celebrated my new found 'knowledge' by moving the middle east and becoming a T-total, born again virgin for 4-5 years -- not my wisest 'pulling technique' granted, but at least I can say I throughly field tested it and it 'does not fucking work']

I hadn't heard the song "Friday" that you mentioned, so I decided to look it up via You Tube and I must agree that it makes me want to go all Jared Lee Loughner on someone or something.
Although in the process of the search, I found a version that you might enjoy the next time you decide to take a bong hit or 5: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1M5Q3onsX4&feature=related
