Well just got back from Miami. It's funny, because each year around the second week we're running those alumni programs, I start to think, "Oh, I just live here now... right?" Then the sadness comes when I realize, no, it's just a magical moment in time, and this too must end. So yup back to cold ass San Francisco. Here's where I'll be the next few months:
March 8-10: San Francisco
March 15-17: Los Angeles (w/ Alexander)
March 21-23: San Francisco
March 28-30: Los Angeles
April 4-6: Las Vegas (w/ Tyler)
April 12-14: Vancouver (w/ Alexander)
April 19-21: Calgary (w/ Alexander)
April 26-28: San Francisco
May 3-5: Montreal (w/ Alexander)
May 10-12: Toronto (w/ Alexander)
May 17-19: San Francisco
May 23-25: Dallas
May 31-June 2: Austin
June 6-8: Las Vegas

Note that I've got a bunch of Canadian dates on the schedule with Alexander in April and May. It's pretty far off now, but there are still plenty of spots available for those bootcamps, which always prove to epic... Alex and I have a long history of teaching together and have our combined bootcamp dialed to a science. If you're even slightly interested in this, now is the time to start thinking about it and possibly budgeting for it, as it's a couple months off yet. Love me some fucking Canada eh.... really hope there's enough interest this time around so I can spend some time with you fine folk.
Note too, that I enjoyed my time in Texas so much that I have decided to return to the Lone Star State in early summer. Yippie kay yay motherfuckers!
This week, I've got a final video from Miami, shot along the scenic Espanola Way just off Washington. The previous night we'd gone to Story which is the new hot shit in South Beach, and it was one of the best clubs I've ever been to in my life. This article's thumbnail on the main page is from that night and if you look at my face, it looks I'm on some roller coaster with Julien and this is the photo that they take as you plunge down the final hill or whatever.
On the debrief, I showed this picture to one of my students as a way to illustrate how we are PROCESS oriented as opposed to RESULTS oriented. "You think that the instructors are somehow 'cut from a different cloth' but nothing could be further from the truth. Much like yourself, I used to feel fear when I'd go to a club like this.... just walking up to the entrance and hearing the music coming from inside, my heart would start pounding and I would get extremely anxious. Over time however, I learned to love that environment. Tonight, was like one of my top ten nights ever... like look at this picture" as I showed them on my iphone... "Look at my fucking face... it looks like I'm at Disneyland, on Space Mountain." I literally remember thinking that to myself in the club... "it's like Disneyland when you were a kid... except there's also boobs and pussy available." lolol running around, ripping girls in, making out, partying hard. Sure, I didn't get laid (thanks mainly to bootcamp responsibilities, but hey that's life), but regardless I was loving the process itself, and that is the point.
The sex is almost just the icing on the cake to us.
The point was this... I was telling the student that process is what to focus on above all... however, I personally wasn't able to enjoy that process at the beginning. I had to make some fundamental changes to my identity before I began to feel at home in the hectic environment of the top clubs. That's what I address in this video today. BOOM:
Little RSD:Miami intro there. I should have made a quippy remark at the end, then put on sunglasses like Lt. Horatio Caine as portrayed by David Caruso in CSI Miami, but hey. I didn't. So sue me.
Anyways, time to get to work here back home. Gotta do my taxes, complete the rebranding of the van, and finish this damn online dating program. Lots to do, lots to do. But anyway, I'll be back soon enough with some more absudity for that ass.
Till then, take care of yourselves... and each other.

I belive it's because the friends I hang out with outside of school call me by a nickname and I unconciously made that a identity, and then I have my normal identity at school.
