We Love Brad
It’s literally 105 degrees here in the Northwoods of America, and I decided to not only workout, but go for a bike ride afterwards in this heat.
Jeyah! Working legs like a boss lately to bump up my testosterone and put on a few extra pounds before leaning down for beach timez at the Las Vegas World Summit in August.
Gonna be so sick.
Today I wanted to bring you a video I recorded which hybridizes a bit of Eastern Philosophy with success with women, nutrition, and fitness.
Crazy mix huh, and 3 things I’m fairly passionate about, so CHECK IT OUT!!!!!
Go Beyond The Master
The koan:
“If you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him.”
Is often misunderstood in philosophical circles, as it is sometimes interpreted as a literal translation.
But all it really says is, take as much as you can from your teachers, find true masters, and move forward as quickly as possible.
But when the time comes where you meet head to head with your mentors, and reach that level, you must destroy them on your journey to true enlightenment.
Now I’m not suggesting you say “fuck off!” to RSD if you feel you reach a certain point, what I’m saying is you need to move BEYOND the teachings, and start thinking for yourself.
You really can be TOO open minded, ending up taking on advice that might not haven’t even been meant for you.
Different people need different insights at different times, and I’ve seen countless examples where people take some concept, and whole heartedly build their life around it.
“yeah dude! I heard that you shouldn’t give a fuck what people think. So I say FUCK IT! Fuck you dude! Fuck that girl! I don’t GIVE A FUCK.”
Well, yes, not identifying with other people’s opinions is a good concept, but not a foundational pillar to how you should filter your reality.
Common sense bro.
Take it in, and see how it jives with the rest of your perception of YOUR OWN way of thinking.
Why did the old routines work sometimes? Why does Beastmode work?
Do you have the type of personality where those concepts might fit your game nicely?
Fuck Your Personality
Well, I will admit that I’m a huge proponent of recognizing how malleable your identity and personality are, so you should definitely not be close minded.
But everyone has an intrinsic inclination towards certain ways of acting.
You might enjoy fine dinners, or lounges, so no matter how open minded you are, hitting that shit LIKE A BOSS, might be a bit miscalibrated.
The same way as if you like the chilled back gorilla headspace, but constantly find yourself in the middle of a molly-popping-electro-rocking dance party, you might wanna start hitting shit up a little harder.
As I mentioned in the video, take ALL the advice, try to find the underlying themes, and how certain aspects might fit nicely into your own personality, and THINK FOR YOURSELF!
---
Alright, I’m back at it, gonna get some more video editing done and hit a protein smoothie.
I’ll see you guys next week!
Peace…

So it's not about "becoming your own master" or "thinking for yourself". In this context, every Buddha that is depicted is not the real Buddha, because there can be no picture of this real Buddha thing. That's why in earlier buddist religions they never depicted the Buddha figure, they only had footprints in sand etc. Because as soon as you name "god" or depict it, it is no longer god but a form. And god / buddha is beyond form.
I am writing this not to bash brad's video, but only to get things straight: We as westeners have to be careful in implementing eastern philosophical ideas into our own concepts. The thing witht "killing the buddha" is about realizing that the Buddha image is not a picture of the buddha. The picture of the buddha is only a means of directing to the buddahood within yourself.
Maybe I'm totally wrong here. Still, awesome content Brad. Hitting it up hard tonight, it's gonna be legendary.

Lol this might seem off topic, but I was curious as to what brand vitamins and greens do you take and also fish oils... I would really appreciate it if you could tell me that because I am trying to get my heath and fitness to where I wanted it to be, and not just by taking pills, I do live a very active lifestyle, I work out and bike as well for hours somedays, but I want to take in the best nutrition as well.
Thanks

from personality one has to move towards his self, then towards no-self.
killing the buddha - start trusting your existence and your own experience. really it takes courage but once you make that choice and kill the buddha, you have recognized that you are a buddha too. so need for another

Don't have a guru to begin with. See them as consultants. Like Alex does.
You can deleguate nearly everything.. But you can't deleguate thinking.

The wheels in my mind go round and round.
I like how lots of the new rsd vids have underlying values of Tyler's philosophical pimping.

what i don´t agree thought is what you say about some stuff working depending on your age, i guess if you don´t feel comfortable doing stuff that other guys may do has more to do with how congruent you feel with it at the moment and not so much with age, place of birth, looks or size, etc
cool stuff

Using the Plato's cave analogy, it works at the level of realizing the shadows, then again when you leave the cave and head outside.
Different paradigms of consciousness. Haha, anyone even get that analogy, don't feel like exlaining further...

This video was your best ever -- totally outstanding delivery, made me jealous I'm not in the forest on a bikeride as well. Seriously engaging delivery here you can really blatantly see the improvement from the work in the LAIR. :)

Buddha also speak's of suffering as a person attached to outcome and negitive attachment's including object's or people.Buddha say's negitive attachment's are the cause of suffering and to live in the moment is to be free of suffering.
Last but not least,Buddha say's to have compasion, exeptence and love for everyone equally including one's self.
In my own word's,If you exept yourself you will become congruent in everything you do,if you love everyone equally you will truly love every women that hit's your bed,if you live in the moment you will never miss a women from the past and you will never fear rejection in the future,if you incorperate a few of the teaching's from Buddha you will find the teaching's to be very helpful in taking your inner game to new level's.
One last note, make every women a cherish.
